Skylights and Solar Tube Lighting

Solar Tube tunnels come in basically three size dimensions. 10 inch, 14 and 21(Commercial). We can also install Skylights that are Hail Resistant. Skylights will offer more candle power by providing a larger opening usuallly 2ft. X 2ft. upto 4ft. X 4ft. The larger units may require cutting rafters and/or ceiling joists, and all require framing, drywall, tape&beding, texture and painting. Solar Lighting will not offer as much day light as a full skylight. However, the cost is considerably less and the smaller tubing can be installed in tighter places around electrical wiring, A/C and Heating ducts. One of the quickest ways to improve the value and appeal of your home is to brighten it up so, LET THERE BE LIGHT.

Sky Lights are Double Domed (two layers of acrilic) and come in clear on clear,bronze on clear or white on clear (Shown). Also available in impact resistant Lexan.

We install only Whirlybird Turbines. There's not a better wind turbine available for your roof. Whirlybirds come in two sizes 12" std. and 14" the 14's will move 37% more air than the standard size and both will turn in a 2mph wind. When a Whirlybird is spinning it creates a low pressure causing a vacuum to draw out heat and moisture from your attic. All Turbines should be operating year around to release heat in the summer and moisture in the winter months. NEVER COVER A TURBINE UP. Let your attic BREATH year around. Properly installed Whirlybirds can reduce your attice heat by 40 Degrees while increasing the comfort in your home.

Solar Power Vents are a little more expensive, but can recoupe the difference by not needing electricity to operate as long as there is sunlight. This product will pull about 800 CFM and will work year around to remove heat and moisture using solar energy.

Ridge Vents allow passive air to flow from the soffit (soffit vents required) up through the ridge line at the peak of the roof. Existing ridge must be removed and decking cut back along ridge line. Ridge Ventilation installed and new ridge applied. Will have a slight rise in appearance along ridge where installed.

Power Vent

Power Vents for a home come in basically 3 sizes 1100 Cubic Feet per Minute,1300 CFM, and 1500 CFM. They are motorized and require electrical hook-up after installation. They also have a thermostate to turn the fan on at a preset temperature usually 90-95 degree. Power Vents will move air faster than wind turbines, but only above the temperature settings and not while you have the opportunity to harvest the cool morning & evening air.
